Indian Summer Nights

piperlime skirt, midi skirt, black and white shirt, stuart weitzman nudist sandal, susu clutch, red clutch, splendid tee, j.crew layered necklace

Prior to making a clothing purchase, I mentally pair a prospective item with pieces already in my closet. If I can mentally create three different looks, I figure the prospective item will be a good addition. Truth be told,  I figured I’d pair this skirt with cashmere sweaters, scarves and a leather jacket.

Enter, Indian Summer. My years in the Bay Area have definitely made me gravitate toward Fall layers, but an Arizona-native like me knows how to handle a heat wave or two! Sandals, a tee and sunglasses are musts! Time at the pool doesn’t hurt either, but this will do for now!

I do the same when I purchase an item—think about what I already have that it can pair with! This skirt is great because you’ve shown that it can work for a hot day and you already have a plan of how to style it for the colder weather (which I can’t wait to see!). You look effortless! xo
