While I’m usually not one to give up the opportunity to wear a dress (favorite benefit: you only have to think about one piece) it’s denim that has been on heavy rotation in my closet lately. Frayed hem jeans, denim jackets and yaassss, this denim skirt have become daily staples lending a casual, but polished hand to my work and weekend uniform.

^My ornery girl! I think she decided I needed to change up my hair and who better than her to take care of business? PS these photos were taken a few weeks ago and since then, I actually have changed up my hair. Looking at these photos I can’t believe how light it was. I’m glad it didn’t stay that way for long because t’s not my favorite, but that’s what I get for being experimental.

I definitely didn’t think my favorite outfits from childhood would make a comeback, but I’m not mad at it. It’s innocent and bold at the same time which is one of the best combos there is, right? I love how a denim skirt #elevatesmomstyle in a snap, but keeps the look carefree.
