Things I’ve Been in to Lately

I’ve recently taken the plunge into eating red meat. I found it near impossible to reach my protein goal of 109g / day without red meat and I’ve found that (gasp) I actually really enjoy it. I’ve been ordering steaks and ground beef and have them 2-3 times a week and do chicken and fish the rest of the week and not only have I met my protein goals, but also feel really good like I don’t know… I actually have energy and am not hungry all the time. 

 

Yesterday was Summer Solstice and it was luckily one of the first warm and sunny days in LA this season. I know I should never complain about our weather, but seriously Californians pay out of our butts in taxes so I justify it with great weather which we did not have this year so it put me in a funk. I’ve been wearing golf clothing when we do get sunshine. I may not be on the tennis/pickleball court or golf course, but looking the part is a vibe and I’m comfortable with that. Last week this dress got delivered and I can’t wait to wear it out on date night or with sneakers/sandals on a hot day. 

 

I’ve been loving these patches I first shared on Instagram. The B12 ones and and Rescue have been my go-tos for when I need more energy or have one too many glasses of wine out with friends. What is it about it being Summer that makes everyone drink a little more? I need to reel it in so I don’t start making it a habit!
