Perfect Gifts for Anyone Stuck at Home

Times are uncertain. Getting gifts for the people who helped you get through 2020 doesn’t have to be. As you may know from Instagram, we moved this year. It has been so exciting for us and truly is a dream come true to be a homeowner. I’m completely preoccupied with both decorating and slowly acquiring things that would make life easier at home (like this pan). My new sense of domesticity surprises everyone, myself included and there are so many great deals going on for Black Friday so it’s the perfect time to pick up pricier pieces and gifts that could make life at home a little better.

Silk pillowcase: for home and beauty, this silk pillowcase has been a staple at our house for years. They’re reportedly gentler on the skin than cotton but what I have really noticed is that they help heat-styled hair last longer which is everything to me.

Beeswax candle: unlike traditional candles, beeswax won’t emit dangerous chemicals into the air as they’re practically smokeless. I love all of the colors these come in — they really bring a new aesthetic to wherever one chooses to place them.

Wine Simple: Kaare and I have really been trying to learn more about wine for the past 5 years. We are eager to dive in and learn more and Sohm breaks down all there is to know about wine with none of the snobbery or unnecessary complexity. He covers how it’s made, how to taste it, what to buy and what to pair it with—spilling his wealth of knowledge from years of playing sommelier at New York’s famed Michelin-starred Le Bernardin.

Cratejoy: This is just a fantastic subscription service for anyone.
they have 1,000’s of subscription boxes as unique as everyone on your list from wine to fitness and even sustainable living boxes.

loungewear gifts

We Are the Weather tee. Look, we are wearing t-shirts a lot more at our house. I love the empowering message Stella McCartney shares on this one. Is it a splurge? Absolutely. Gift this to anyone who believes it is time for a change and also loves high /sustainable fashion.

A multi-functional pan: unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve seen this on Instagram. I think it’s the perfect gift for anyone that needs to upgrade the pans they got on clearance after college (me!) and also appreciates a beautiful aesthetic (also me… it’s me that wants this pan).

Oils and vinegar: Until I started cooking more at home I never paid much attention to the oils and vinegar I was using. Sure I made sure they were organic but what I didn’t know may have been detrimental to my family’s health. With Brightland, you know exactly what you’re getting – authentic olive oils and vinegars that are never overprocessed and have absolutely no fillers or artificial preservatives. Their sole ingredient comes from trees that live on for thousands of years; so you can rest assured that what you’re putting into your body is straight from the earth. It’s grounded. It’s good for you. It’s never seen a lab.

Last but certainly not least is the NuFACE Trinity. I. LOVE. THIS. THING. It’s a microcurrent device (if you don’t already know) and I have definitely been using it 2x more during the quarantine and have the attachment for lips and eyes on my wishlist. The founder says it is a must for anyone over 35. I love that you can literally do it anywhere (on calls, before bed, etc) and you can immediately see your face is more contoured and slightly lifted. This is the perfect gift for anyone 20-80 years old that would like to be a little more chiseled or lifted.
