If you’ve been hanging out here for awhile, you’ve probably gathered that I have an affinity for subscription boxes. It’s not the inevitable hoarding of products that excites me, but the feeling I get opening the cute little boxes and finding so many new products. I’m always totally surprised by what I find and am like a grown-up kid at Christmas – excited, grateful and, sometimes, quick to regift. This month’s POPSUGAR Must Have Box was no exception.
Kendra Scott ‘Elisa’ pendant and Bite Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Gloss. I love this unique pendant and need simpler pieces for the office. This piece is perfect for that and will be a lovely piece to layer. The Bite Beauty lipgloss looks intense in the tube, but actually goes on sheer and natural looking. I love it on its own and will layer it over a bold, opaque lipstick for night.
The Mason Jar Cookie Company Festive Pouch Mix. I’m not one to let a gluten allergy keep me from enjoying ‘gluten-y’ goods. Harlowe helped me bake these (I could blame the square shape on her, but that was my bad!) and she shared them with her preschool class. They got approval from the discerning 2-5 year old crowd.
ThinkThin Brownie Crunch Protein Bar. O M Goodness, a gluten-free protein bar that I haven’t had! I was surprised this bar has a low glycemic index given that it is, you know chocolate, but it does! It wasn’t as scrumptious as the ones I’ve been eating, but it did give me even energy levels throughout the morning. Big plus. Perfect for a pre-breakfast, pre-morning run snack.
PaddyWax Mini Jar Candle. A lot of people go wild for soy wax and I can understand why . For starters, they’re wayyyy more eco-friendly than paraffin wax candles. Still, I have a hard time finding soy candles I like. No matter how lovely the scent (and this one paired with Ocean Tide & Sea Salt fragrance is definitely divine) they tend to fall short on filling a space with scent. So far, this one isn’t wowing me with scent, but how scented can ocean tide and sea salt really be? I do however, die for this aqua jar! I’m looking forward to burning this candle out so I can use the cute jar as storage for something equally as cute.
Lollia ‘At Last’ Shower Gel. How adorable is this bottle? It has me feeling luxurious before I even hop in the shower to lather up! The scent is floral and a little strong, so if you’re not a fan of magnolias and mimosa opt for another shower gel. I happen to be a huge fan!
Goodbyn Small Meal Box. These little boxes are perfect to send off to school with Harlowe. Conveniently enough, purple is her favorite color so I put this little meal in it on Sunday night so she didn’t have to wait to try it out. Mom likes that the boxes are BPA- and phthalate-free, and 100 percent recyclable. Oh, also you can put them in the dishwasher!
